Daily Sprinkling of Scripture for Your Blossoming Soul!

About

Hello, my name is Karen Feldmeyer and I am so glad you have stopped by to read our daily sprinkling of scripture!   This started while I was just sending snippets of scripture daily to my children, then branched out to my sister and her family, then to more extended family, and eventually to friends, and it grew and grew.

Since I send these through another means, the following are actually archived passages from prior days/months/years.  Please feel free to browse through the listing.  They are not in any particular order or theme, rather they follow what comes to me through daily prayer.

Our mind is a battlefield where thoughts pursue our knowledge of ourselves such as  doubt, will I ever be good enough, and am I even worthy.   Or it can also be the flip side with thoughts of, I am all that I need, my way is best, and I am always right.   Pay attention to what you hear and if these types of destructive thoughts rule, allow God to infiltrate His thoughts to you.   How is this done?   Prayer, knowing scripture, and being focused on Him all your days.

Lord my God, I seek refuge in you; save me from all my pursuers and rescue me  or they will tear me like a lion, ripping me apart with no one to rescue me.
Psalms 7:1-2 CSB

Found in ores heated to a molten, silver is extracted once cooled.   Silver is the whitest metallic element, rare, strong, corrosion resistant, unaffected by moisture... A description of you and me through life's trials and storms like silver we become unique ,precious, strong, resistant to temptation, the apple of our Heavenly Father's eye.

For you, God, tested us; you refined us as silver is refined.
Psalms 66:10 CSB

Have you been afraid to totally turn your dream over to God?   Have you ever thought or felt if you did, he would not approve and change it , and you be disappointed?   Well, think about this... Why would the God of all the earth who commands the glorious sunrises and sunsets be such a "kill joy" when it comes to your dream?   Did you know the dream(s) you have deep in your heart was planted by God in the first place?  Turning over to Him only means we will get the full benefit.   He is there to guide, inspire, and also to redirect.   Instead of fear, trust!   Choose faith that your dream will blossom beyond your wildest dreams.   Think of Abraham.   He wanted so desperately to have a child and God made him the Father of many nation's!   Awesome isn't it?

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Proverbs 16:3 NIV

Opposition exists, you can't get rid of it - so have your actions be with pure intent and your words truthful and constructive so those who do not like you or what you stand for can respect you because of your integrity and not be able to accuse you of wrong doing.

In everything set them an example by doing what is good.   In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
Titus 2:7-8 NIV

We create, problem solve, build, lead, learn, and plan.   But the very God who inspired the prophets, Kings, and the apostles is the same God who inspires us and gives us the skills and abilities.   Give thanks to God who is our foundation for all we are capable.”

“For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
Hebrews 3:4 NIV

Laziness is a trap.  To believe things should be handed to you or you don't have to work is contrary to God's teaching.   Whatever your capability, get out, and contribute.   Contribute to the Kingdom of God, your community, your job, your family with love for God and all who you serve.

Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.
Proverbs 12:11 NIV

How often during the course of the day, week, year do you change your mind?   Do you recall a time you stretched the truth or outright lied?   When we think of others doing either of these to us we can get frustrated and even stop trusting.    Be reassured that God doesn't behave this way.   First, He is incapable of lying.   He is perfect and can't do an imperfect act.   Second, since he is absolute in everything, he has no need to change his mind.   Begin  today living confidently that God is leading you to what he promised!

God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind.   Does he speak and then not act?   Does he promise and not fulfill?
Numbers 23:19 NIV

Working hard to prove a point, get recognition, be chosen over someone else, get back at another all for the satisfaction winning because of  jealousy is an irresponsible use of the skills God has given.   Instead, work to provide, help one another, learn, and grow all the while becoming closer to God being made in the image of his Son, Jesus.

I saw that all labor and all skillful work is due to one person’s jealousy of another.   This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.
Ecclesiastes 4:4 CSB

Lofty speech to hear oneself talk, flattery with purpose to "rub elbows" with the influential, speech to force a perception on life/politics/ or religion truly is ridiculous..... It is far better to be quiet and listen.   Listen to God who is most important.   And by listening to him, one receives authority in His name to speak on His behalf.

Do not be hasty to speak, and do not be impulsive to make a speech before God.   God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.
Ecclesiastes 5:2 CSB

These cruel acts of oppression with perversion of Justice are born out of evil.   People cover up and others above them cover up even more.   And the result is disasterous!    But God sees.   He sees all that is going on from the lying and deceit to the physical, emotional, and spiritual damage people have as a result of other's actions.   So because of this, God calls you and me off the bench and into life to teach, care for, and even rescue those hurting by the actions of others.   Do not be surprised by any of this and don't just talk about it with disgust, get involved as God leads you and be willing and open to be part of God's solution.

If you see oppression of the poor and perversion of justice and righteousness in the province, don’t be astonished at the situation, because one official protects another official, and higher officials protect them.
Ecclesiastes 5:8 CSB

Strength from God is also obtained when we see other believers weather storms.   We can observe life spring up in an otherwise dead situation.   Pay attention to the afflictions of others.   Spend time with people strong in the faith and gain encouragement from their trials.   Stop rushing to the next thing in your calendar or task list to be present with others.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and affliction, we were encouraged about you through your faith.   For now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 3:7-8 CSB

Make today be the day you look at yourself intently in the mirror and with unwavering confidence say "I will stand in the strength of my God!   I will not let my thoughts or the words of others stand in my way to do what I have been chosen to do!"

".......Be strong, and do it.”
1 Chronicles 28:10 CSB

Belief in the Divine grace that we are saved by Jesus should stir in us the desire to be changed by Him to be set apart; Holy and sanctified.   This means to be different;  resisting the pressure to conform to our cultural ideologies and sin.

"The law came along to multiply the trespass.   But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even more.   What should we say then?   Should we continue in sin so that grace may multiply?   Absolutely not!   How can we who died to sin still live in it?"
Romans 5:20 6:1-2 CSB

In Heaven we still won't know everything.   Yes things will be made clearer, we will know more, and we will be flawless.   But only God is all-knowing.   In Heaven, like the righteous angels we should want to continue to gain more knowledge.   Begin today to desire to learn more from our Lord.

"  — angels long to catch a glimpse of these things."
1 Peter 1:12 CSB
